Follow these steps to deploy MSC VMs and prepare them using the scripts
in this directory.

Step 0: Install python requirements package

Note: Python 2.7.14+ or Python 3.4+ is required. Check your python
version using "python -V" command.

    a) Install pip (python package installer)

     python -m ensurepip

    b) It is recommended to run the scripts under a python virtual
environment, such as pipenv (or virtualenv), so that it does not
    conflict/over-ride system-wide packages

Please follow the steps outlined in this web-page to install
    pipenv (or virtualenv):
    https://docs.python-guide.org/dev/virtualenvs/

    	i) pip install --user pipenv
ii) Add ~/.local/bin to your PATH. For Windows PATH check the "Note"
section in the above web page

    c) Enter into the pipenv (or virtualenv) environment using:
       i) cd tools-msc-<version>
       ii) pipenv install future
       ii) pipenv shell

       Or
       i) cd tools-msc-<version>
       ii) virtualenv msc_tools_env
       ii) source msc_tools_env/bin/activate

    d) Install the packages in requirements.txt

    Execute:
        python -m pip install -r requirements.txt

If there is any error in the above, please address them. Without these
pre-requisites the MSC utility python scripts will not work.

Step 1: Copy msc_cfg_example.yml to msc_cfg.yml

- Edit the msc_cfg.yml configuration file.
- All the parameters that need to be filled in are in ALL CAPS
  (Example: <VCENTER_NAME> etc)
- Fill in all the parameters for your environment.
MSC node networking setup (IP, netmask, gateway etc)

Step 2: Execute the script to deploy the MSC VMs and prepare them

python msc_vm_util.py

(Note: Do "python msc_vm_util.py -h" to see the full options supported)

Enter vcenter and node1, node2 & node3 passwords when prompted

Steps to upgrade/downgrade the MSC nodes

Step 1: Copy the msc_cfg_upgrade_example.yml to msc_cfg_upgrade.yml

- Edit the msc_cfg_upgrade.yml configuration file.
- All the parameters that need to be filled in are in ALL CAPS
  (Example: <VCENTER_NAME> etc)
- Fill in all the parameters for your environment.
MSC node networking setup (IP, netmask, gateway etc)
- Fill in the MSC upgrade (msc-<version>.tar.gz) path & from_to_dir
 fields

Step 2: Execute the script to deploy the MSC VMs and prepare them

python msc_vm_util.py -c msc_cfg_upgrade.yml

(Note: Do "python msc_vm_util.py -h" to see the full options supported)

Enter vcenter and node1, node2 & node3 passwords when prompted
