validatePolicy

public java.util.ArrayList validatePolicy(Policy policy)

Validates the correctness of the Policy defined. The Rules created for each Package are examined. A vector with Strings defining the Rules which might give undesireable results is returned. The warnings are for Packages that do not have active Rules for Generic Protocols, there is a disabled service with a certain Protocol and lists and another enabled service with the same protocol and no lists and if there are no Rules for services that have a certaing Protocol with lists while having a Rule for the service which has the same Protocol without lists.

Parameters:

policy - the Policy which is examined

Returns:

a Vector with warning messages regarding Rules which might have undesireable results
