public class OperationException
extends java.lang.Exception

All functional errors of the SCE Subscriber Java API are provided by the same Java class OperationException, which is contrary to normal Java usage. This "contrary" approach was chosen because of the required "cross-language and cross-protocol" nature of the SCE Subscriber API which should allow all future SCE API implementations to look and feel the same (Java, C, C++). Each OperationException exception provides the following information: 1) A unique error code (long) 2) An informative message (java.lang.String) 3) A server-side stack trace (java.lang.String) See the List of Error Codes in Appendix A of the Programmers Guide for more details about error codes and their significance.
