7.4 offline (Places a path or paths offline)

The dlnkmgr command's offline operation places online paths offline. Specify the paths you want to place offline by specifying a HBA port or channel adapter port to which the target paths are connected, or by specifying a single path.

The last path accessing each LU cannot be placed offline.

Placing too many paths offline may prevent path switching if an error occurs. Before placing a path offline, use the view operation to check how many online paths remain. For details about the view operation, see 7.7 view (Displays information).

In a cluster configuration, an offline operation requested during reserve processing is put into the waiting-to-execute state (Online(P), Online(EP), or Offline(P)), and does not execute until the reserve processing finishes.
