This section describes the methods available to manage older arrays.
In addition to managing newer arrays, Navigator 2 can also manage older arrays such as AMS 1000/500/200, WMS100, and Thunder 95xx Series. You can register these models in Navigator 2 with the Add Array wizard the same way as registering the newer models. Once these arrays are registered in the Navigator 2 database, you can show and configure detailed data about these models, but the procedure is different than for the new models.
To show and configure an older model array:
Click the to the left of the array name
Click Show & Configure Array or click the array name from the list.
Navigator 2 detects the model of the array that has been selected. Instead of displaying the Array Information window, it displays the Advanced Settings window. This is equivalent to using Storage Navigator Modular.
Instructions for using Storage Navigator Modular are located in the following manuals:
Note that Storage Navigator Modular does not have on-screen help.
This section explains the settings that are made for AMS2100/AMS2300 using the Advanced Settings Window from Storage Navigator Modular. These are settings that cannot currently be made with Navigator 2
