Changing Port Numbers

To change the port number for a controller:

  1. From the Array Tree window, click Settings > LAN. The LAN window is displayed.

  2. Click Change Port Number. The Change Port Numbers window is displayed.

  3. Select the controller port you want to change and type the new port number for either Non-secure port number or Secure port number. You may select both controller ports and change them at the same time.

  4. For non-secured ports, click inside the Non-secure port number or Secure port number box and type the number you want to designate.

  5. The Secure port number field is active only if the Secure LAN feature is enabled and activated on the array.

  6. The default port number for secured ports is 28355. We recommend you do not change this default value unless indicated by your IT administrator to change it to some other value.

  1. Click OK. A confirmation message is displayed.

  2. Click Close. Your settings are now changed.

NOTE: You can secure your LAN connection from the array controller to Navigator 2 using the Secure LAN feature, if available for your system. Contact your sales representative for information on the features supported in your system.
