Edit Authentication

This help page provides information to guide you through the procedure to edit authentication for an iSCSI target.

To edit the authentication setting of the selected iSCSI Target, click Edit Authentication.  The Edit Authentication window is displayed.

NOTE: This button is the same as the Edit Authentication button in iSCSI the Targets tab in the iSCSI Targets window.

Edit Authentication Procedure

To edit the authentication setting of a desired iSCSI target:

  1. From the Edit Authentication window, select desired authentication method.

  2. If ”CHAP, None” or ”CHAP” is selected for Authentication Method, associate CHAP Users to the iSCSI Target later at CHAP Users tab of iSCSI Targets window. The array can verify the user (of the host trying to access the iSCSI target) by the User Name and Secret of the CHAP user.

  3. To set Enable Mutual Authentication, select the Yes check box.  If selected, the input authentication setting is applied to the iSCSI target.  If enabled, the host will test the iSCSI target by the configured User Name and Secret of the iSCSI target.
