This help page provides information to guide you through the procedure to use Navigator 2 to set up and use the Password Protection storage feature on legacy Hitachi Data Systems arrays. It contains the following topics:
Password Protection is a feature that may be used on some older Hitachi Data Systems arrays that prevents Navigator 2 users who do not have the proper permissions from accessing storage arrays on which password protection is set. It can also be used to prevent simultaneous access to an array by more than one user. This feature is not used to control access to Navigator 2, but to the arrays it manages.

NOTE: This feature is not available or used in the AMS 2000 Family or the Simple Modular Storage 100 line of products. |
