Viewing Secure LAN Properties
You can enhance the session security Navigator 2 by using the Secure LAN feature. Secure LAN takes advantage of the SSL protocol for each session to a Secure LAN-enabled array controller port. Security is enhanced for users accessing the array from either Navigator 2 or a Web browser.

NOTE: This feature requires use of the Hitachi Storage Navigator Modular 2 Command Line Interface (CLI) to properly configure SSL for your connections. Refer to your system's Hardware User's Guide for detail configuration procedures. |
The Secure LAN feature must be first enabled from the main Navigator 2 Array List window before you can use it to secure Navigator 2 communications to specified controller ports.
To enable the Secure LAN feature for a specified array:
From the Array List window, select an array and click Edit Array. The Edit Array window is displayed.
Select Secure Port under the Using Ports: options.
Click OK. You can now configure and secure the controller ports using Secure LAN.
To view the secure LAN properties for the selected array:
From the Array List window, select an array to manage.
Click Security from the navigation tree. The Security window is displayed.
Click Secure LAN. The Secure LAN window is displayed.
The settings for each controller are visible from the Secure LAN window. The supported properties are described in the following table:
