Use the controls in the Spare Drives window to manage the spare drives in the selected array.
In Spare Drives window, Spare Drives properties that are already registered to the selected array are displayed.
To add a spare drive:
In the Spare Drives window, click Add Spare Drive. The Add Spare Drive window is displayed. A list of assignable drives and a list of spare drives to be assigned are displayed in the window.
In the Assignable Drives list, click the to the left of the drive that you want to assign as a spare drive and click ADD.
To remove the candidate(s) from the To be Assigned Spare Drives list, click the (es) to the left of the drive(s) that you do not want to assign as a spare drive, and then click Remove.
Click OK. The new spare drives are registered and added as the list of spare drive candidates.
To remove a spare drive:
In the Spare Drives window, click the to the left of the drive that you want to remove.
Click Remove Spare Drive. The Remove Spare Drive window is displayed.
Click Close. The selected spare drive is removed.
