Updating
the FirmwareThis help page provides information to guide you through the update operations available in Storage Navigator 2. It contains the following topics:
Hitachi Data Systems (HDS) improves the software for all of their storage arrays on a regular basis, though all of the software for a particular model array may not be updated at the same time. Although major software releases are widely announced, minor revisions might not be. You can check the HDS Support website at any time and compare the version numbers of the software available with the versions installed on their arrays. If newer software is available, HDS recommends that you download the software and install it on the arrays. The following information describes how to perform a firmware update on your system.
To determine the version of the firmware installed on an array:
Display the Arrays window in Navigator 2.
Click the next to an array name and click Show and Configure Array. The window for the selected array is displayed. The firmware version is listed in the Summary table of the Array window.
