2.1 Setting Up Functions of HDLM

HDLM has load balancing, automatic failback, error logging, and other functions. You can set up these functions by using the Options window of the HDLM GUI. The following subsections describe how to set up these functions by using the HDLM GUI.

Note

• Windows Server 2008 supports user account control (UAC). To execute an HDLM command or run the HDLM GUI, use one of the following procedures:
  
  • Log on using the Administrator account to perform the operation.
  • If not logged on as Administrator, use the Run as administrator to run the HDLM GUI.
