Description

WLAN/4/AP_NAME_CONFLICT:OID [oid] Report ap name conflict. (APMAC=[OPAQUE], APReportName=[OCTET], APOccurTime=[OCTET], APID=[INTEGER])

The name of a new online RU reported to the central AP conflicts with that of an existing online RU.

Parameters

Name Meaning
OID Indicates the ID of the MIB object.
ApMac Indicates the MAC address of an AP.
ApName Indicates the AP name.
APOccurTime Indicates the time when the alarm is generated.
APID Indicates the AP ID.

Impact on the System

Two different RUs use the same name, causing a failure in RU information query based on the RU name.

Possible Causes

The name configured on the RU conflicts with that of an online RU on the central AP.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the RU and run the ap-rename { ap-name name | ap-mac ap-mac-address | ap-id ap-id } new-name ap-new-name command to modify the name of the RU to prevent name conflict.
  2. Restart the RU. Then, check whether the alarm persists.

    • If so, go to Step 3.
    • If not, go to Step 4.

  3. Collect alarm messages, log messages, and configurations, and then contact technical support personnel.
  4. End.
