Description

WLAN/4/AP_OPTICAL_TX_POWER_TOO_LOW:OID [oid] AP optical module transfer power is too low notify. (APMAC=[MacAddress], APName=[STRING], ApIfIndex=[INTEGER], Ap Optical TxPower=[INTEGER](0.1uw), ApEntityPhysicalName=[OCTET], APID=[INTEGER])

The transmit power of the AP's optical module fell below the lower threshold.

Indicates the ID of the MIB object.

APMAC

Indicates the MAC address of an AP.

APName

Indicates the AP name.

ApIfIndex

Indicates the index of the AP interface on which the optical module is installed.

Ap Optical TxPower

Indicates the current transmit power of the AP's optical module.

ApEntityPhysicalName

Indicates the name of the AP interface on which the optical module is installed.

APID

Indicates the AP ID.

Impact on the System

Services on the optical module are adversely affected, which probably leads to error codes, error packets, or even service interruption.

This alarm applies to Huawei certified optical modules only. For non-Huawei-certified optical modules, incorrect alarms may be generated.

Possible Causes

The transmit power of the AP's optical module fell below the lower threshold.

Procedure

  1. Check whether the type of the peer optical module matches that of the local optical module. For detailed matching rules, see Pluggable Modules for Optical Interfaces > Understanding Optical Modules > Rules for Optical Module Interoperation in the Hardware Installation and Maintenance Guide of the corresponding AP model.

    • If so, go to step 3.
    • If not, go to step 2.

  2. Replace the peer optical module with one matching the type of the local one. Then, check whether the alarm persists.

    • If so, go to step 3.
    • If not, go to step 6.

  3. Check whether the optical module is a Huawei certified optical module.

    • If so, go to step 5.
    • If not, go to step 4.

  4. Replace the optical module with a Huawei certified optical module. Then, check whether the alarm persists.

    • If so, go to step 5.
    • If not, go to step 6.

  5. Collect alarm messages, log messages, and configurations, and then contact technical support personnel.
  6. End.
