WLAN_1.3.6.1.4.1.2011.6.139.18.1.1.1.11 hwStationSignalStrengthLowThanThresholdTrap

Description

WLAN/4/STATION_SIGNAL_STRENGTH_LOW_THAN_THRESHOLD_NOTIFY:OID [oid] Signal strength of the Station is lower than threshold. (ApMac=[OPAQUE],StaMac=[OPAQUE],StaRadioId=[INTEGER],ApName=[OCTET],StaAccessChannel=[INTEGER],StaRssi=[INTEGER],SignalStrengthThreshold=[INTEGER], APID=[INTEGER])

The AP reports this alarm when detecting that the signal strength of a STA is lower than the access limit threshold.

Attribute

Alarm ID Alarm Severity Alarm Type
1.3.6.1.4.1.2011.6.139.18.1.1.1.11 Warning communicationsAlarm(2)

Parameters

Name Meaning
oid Indicates the ID of the MIB object.
ApMac Indicates the MAC address of an AP.
StaMac Indicates the MAC address of a STA, which identifies the STA and functions as the index for querying information associated with the STA.
StaRadioId Indicates the radio ID of the STA.
ApName Indicates the AP name.
StaAccessChannel Indicates the access channel of the STA.
StaRssi Indicates the signal strength of the STA.
SignalStrengthThreshold Indicates the access limit threshold.
APID Indicates the AP ID.

Impact on the System

Users fail to go online.

Possible Causes

The access limit threshold has been configured in a radio profile, and STAs whose RSSI is lower than the threshold attempted to connect to the device.

Procedure

  1. Run the display rrm-profile { all | name profile-name } command to verify that the value of UAC client's SNR threshold(dB) in the radio profile is proper. Then, check whether the alarm persists.

    • If so, go to Step 2.
    • If not, go to Step 3.

  2. Collect alarm messages, log messages, and configurations, and then contact the technical support personnel.
  3. End.
