You can obtain basic information about a clone file system by viewing its properties.
Procedure
- Go to the user interface of clone file systems in vStore.
The operation path varies with user types:
- System user: Click
vStore, select the desired vStore, and click Details to go to the vStore view. Choose Data Protection > Clone.
- vStore user: In the vStore view, choose Data Protection > Clone.
- In the left file system directory tree, select a parent file system node where the clone file system you want to view resides.
- View basic information about all clone file systems under the parent file system. Table 1 describes related parameters.
Table 1 Parameters of a clone file system clone
Parameter |
Description |
Name |
Specifies the name of a clone file system. |
ID |
Specifies the ID of a clone file system. |
Health Status |
Specifies the health status of a clone file system, indicating whether it is working properly. The value is Normal, Faulty or Write protected. |
Running Status |
Specifies the running status of a clone file system, indicating whether it is working properly. The value is Online, Offline or Partition migrating. |
Split Status |
Specifies the status of splitting a clone file system. The value can be:
- Not started
- Splitting
- Queuing
- Abnormal end
If the splitting status is Abnormal End, refer to the alarm information for troubleshooting. |
Split Speed |
Specifies the speed of splitting a clone file system. The value can be:
- Highest: The speed is normally from 0 MB/s to 100 MB/s. Splitting will be completed in the shortest period. This value is applicable to scenarios where the service load is light.
- High: The speed is normally from 0 MB/s to 50 MB/s. Splitting will be completed in the short period. This value is applicable to scenarios where the service load is relatively light.
- Medium: The speed is normally from 0 MB/s to 20 MB/s. Splitting will be completed in the long period. This value is applicable to scenarios where the service load is relatively heavy.
- Low: The speed is normally from 0 MB/s to 10 MB/s. Splitting will be completed in the longest period. This value is applicable to scenarios where the service load is heavy.
|
Parent File System Snapshot |
Specifies the snapshot used for creating a clone file system. |
Security Style |
The security style defines the access control mechanism of the file system accessible through multiple protocols.
- Mixed
Applies to the scenario in which both CIFS and NFS users can access and control the file system. Either CIFS or NFS permissions are valid. The latest configured permissions prevail.
- Native
Applies to the scenario in which Windows NT ACLs control CIFS users' permissions and UNIX mode bits control NFS users' permissions. In this mode, Windows NT ACLs and UNIX mode bits will neither affect nor synchronize with each other.
- For CIFS share access, the system checks whether a Windows user has the access permission based on the Windows NT ACLs.
- For NFS share access, the system checks whether a UNIX user has the access permission based on the UNIX mode bits.
- NTFS
Applies to the scenario in which Windows NT ACLs control CIFS users' permissions.
- UNIX
Applies to the scenario in which UNIX mode bits, NFSv4 ACLs, or NFSv3 ACLs control NFS users' permissions.
