Assignments of APs to Controllers

APs can be redirected to a specific controller upon discovery, after a successful association. The AP MAC address is used as an index in this controller’s redirect table, and is associated with the name of the Destination Controller for the redirection.

To review a summary of AP Redirect assignments

To see updated AP Redirect assignments, click Refresh.

The following table lists the APs and the Destination Controllers that are listed in this controller's redirect table.

AP MAC Address MAC Address of the AP that is to be redirected.
Destination Controller  Hostname or IP address of the controller where the AP will be directed to.
To add an AP Redirect assignment (Level 10 required)

To add an AP to the controller's redirect table, click Add. The Assignments of APs to Controllers - Add page displays.

To delete an AP Redirect assignment (Level 10 required)
  1. From the list of AP Redirect assignments, select the checkbox for the access point assignment.
  2. Click Delete to remove the AP redirect entry.
