Connection Template - Add (requires Level 10 permission)

The Connection Template - Add page allows you set up a VPN IPSec data channel connection.

To add a VPN connection:

1. Enter a name for the VPN IPSec data channel connection in the text box. The name can be up to 32 alphanumeric characters.
2. Enter the IP address of the Remote IP subnet in the text boxes. If 0.0.0.0 is set, this VPN connection can be used with all subnets.
3. Enter the netmask of the Remote IP subnet in the text boxes. If 0.0.0.0 is set, no netmask is set.
4. Enter the IPSec Key Lifetime interval in the text box. This setting determines how many seconds an IPSec data channel key used in Internet Security Association Key Exchange is valid. Choose an integer between 300 and 28000. After the specified lifetime, the key is automatically regenerated and redistributed to the members of the data channel.
5. Enter the IKE Lifetime interval in the text box. This setting determines how many seconds an IKE (Internet Key Exchange) session is valid. Choose an integer between 60 and 28000.
6. Click OK.
