Guest User - Add (requires Level 10 permission)

Use this page to add a Captive Portal Guest User account to provide a user with temporary access in the Captive Portal. A maximum of 32 concurrent guest user accounts can exist. More than one guest user can use the same guest user account name.

Once the account is created, when a user logs into the Captive Portal using the account name, the correct password must be supplied, and the login attempt must be made between the configured account start and end times for a successful login to occur.

To add a Captive Portal Guest User:

1. In the Guest User Name text box, enter the name used for Guest user access using 1 to 64 characters. This information is required.
2. In the Guest User Password text box,  enter the password used for the Guest user access using 1 to 64 characters. This information is required.
3. In the Service Start Time, enter the start date (this information is required), either by:
   • typing the date and time in the format mm/dd/yyyy hh:mm:ss
   • clicking the calendar icon and selecting the Month and Year if necessary, clicking the date, and entering the time in the hour, minute, second boxes. Click ok.
4. In the Service End Time, enter the termination date (this information is required), either by:
   • typing the date and time in the format mm/dd/yyyy hh:mm:ss
   • clicking the calendar icon and selecting the Month and Year if necessary, clicking the date, and entering the time in the hour, minute, second boxes. Click ok.
5. Click OK to exit the Guest User - Add page.
