Ethernet Statistics - Details

Use this page to review statistics on the Ethernet interface.

Interface Index Identification number of the Ethernet interface. For APs this number is 100, as the interface is 100Mbps.
Node ID Unique identification number of the device.
Node Name Name of the device.
Node Type Type of device the interface is associated with:
  • Controller
  • Access Point
Description Descriptive text about the node.
In Octets Number of bytes, including framing bytes, received by the Ethernet interface.
In Unicast Packets Number of unicast packets received by the interface and delivered to a higher-layer protocol.
In Non-unicast Packets Number of non-unicast packets received by the interface and delivered to a higher-layer protocol.
In Discards Number of non-error packets received and discarded by the interface (for example, buffer overflow prevents delivery to a higher-layer protocol).
In Errors Number of error packets received by the Ethernet interface.
In Unknown Protocols Number of packets received and discarded because they were of unknown or unsupported protocols.
Out Octets Number of bytes, including framing bytes, sent by the Ethernet interface.
Out Unicast Packets Number of unicast packets that higher-layer protocols requested to be sent by the interface.
Out Non-Unicast Packets Number of non-unicast packets that higher-layer protocols requested be sent by the interface.
Out Discards Number of non-error outbound packets discarded by the interface because of problems such as buffer overflows.
Out Errors Number of outbound packets that could not be sent due to errors.
Out Queue Length Length of output queue for the interface (in packets).
