QoS Codec Rules

Use this page (Configuration > System Settings > QoS Codec Rules tab) to manage QoS Codec rules:

NOTE: Changes to the 22 default QoS Codec Rules are reverted to factory defaults by deleting the same. 
Basically, the rules are not deleted, and the parameters are changed back to the default values when you try to delete.

To review a summary of QoS rules

To see updated rule information, click Refresh.

The following table lists the QoS rule information you can review.

ID Unique numeric identifier for the QoS Codec rule
Codec Codec type such as H.263 Video, H.261 Video, etc.
QoS Protocol
  • SIP
  • H.323 
To add QoS Codec rules (Level 10 required)

Click Add. The QoS Codec Rules - Add page appears.

To modify QoS Codec rules  (Level 10 required)

Select a rule and then click Settings. The QoS Codec Rules - Update page appears.

To delete QoS Codec rules (Level 10 required)
  1. Select the checkbox for the rule you want to delete.
  2. Click Delete.
To review additional details about QoS Codec rules
  1. Select the checkbox for the rule for which you want to see additional information.
  2. Click View Details. The QoS Codec Rules - Details page appears.
