SNMP Trap Management - Add (requires Level 10 permission)

Use this page (Configuration > SNMP > Setup > SNMP Trap Management > Add) to specify SNMP trap information and add the trap.

  1. In the Trap Community box, type the name of the SNMP community. The name can be up to 32 alphanumeric characters long. Do not include spaces or special characters in the name. The SNMP community acts as a password to authenticate messages sent between the SNMP server and SNMP client.

Note: The SNMP community string is transmitted in clear text.

  2. In the Trap Destination IP boxes, type the IP address of the SNMP trap receiver that is listening for SNMP traps generated by the controller. To disable this feature, use 0.0.0.0.
  3. To add the SNMP trap, click OK.
