2.10 SWU Boot Devices

SWU Boot devices offer the possibility to insert/remove RMX boot devices. The boot devices are represented as Virtual Hard Disks (VHDs). The Second Boot Device (VHD2) is synonymous to MO Disk/Compact Flash drive function in previous hardware variants.
The images can be utilized for RMX Backups via AMO DDRSM or using the GLA/PDS option under Backup & Restore in OpenScape 4000 Assistant.
All software images have to be located in a specific directory so that they are displayed in the SWU Boot Devices dialog.
Usage Scenarios

Software images can be copied (via SFTP) for diagnostic purposes (see Section 2.10.2, “Create a Copy of an Image (:area e:)”).

Different software images can be assigned to two virtual hard disks (VHD1 and VHD2) and the hard disks enabled (Insert VHD) or disabled (Take out VHD).
