4.2.2.2 Procedure

1.
Insert a hard disk into the upper bay of the HDTR for APE deployment or in the Drive2 slot for EcoServer. The system boots from this hard disk.
2.
Log on to the OpenScape 4000 Platform Administration (Portal).
3.
Check whether the hard disk has been installed and read correctly.
Switch to Maintenance > Recovery HD > Node 1 / Node 2.
4.
Check if there is no hard disk in the lower bay (the corresponding LED is not lighting). Insert the second hard disk into the lower bay of the HDTR for APE deployment or in the Drive2 slot for EcoServer.
5.
Once the second hard disk has been inserted, the OpenScape 4000 Administration Portal page is updated accordingly:

6.
Now select the Start Synchronization button to start the RAID synchronization.
IMPORTANT:  Synchronization may take a few hours.
7.
Following synchronization, the OpenScape 4000 Administration Portal page is updated.
8.
Once the RAID configuration has been finished, additional functions can be invoked.

Create Recovery HD
Only one recovery hard disk can be created (see Section 4.2.3, “Creating a Recovery Hard Disk”).
