4.2.3 Creating a Recovery Hard Disk

With the function Create Recovery-HD a bootable hard disk including LINUX operating system and complete OpenScape 4000 appliance software is created. With this hard disk the telephony functionality can be restored quickly in case of need (“total system failure” caused by a defective file system or software error).
IMPORTANT:  Starting with OpenScape 4000 V10 R0, the Recovery Hard Disk feature allows the user to create a recovery disk for each of the two host nodes on Duplex and Separated Duplex deployments.
IMPORTANT:  The feature described in the following sections is supported for DSCXL2 (APE deployment only) and EcoServer!
IMPORTANT:  Recommendation: A Recovery-HD should be created at least with every OpenScape 4000 Administration Platform hot fix!
