Enable OpenScape SBC
After a first installation or upgrade of a OpenScape 4000 to V8R2 using OpenScape 4000 Portal, to activate, deactivate and configure hosted OpenScape SBC, first upload the SBC image (bz2 file) via OpenScape SBC Management menu from Portal. Then go to OpenScape 4000 Portal and open the LAN Wizard menu:
System -> LAN Configuration -> System
. Note that this is only possible after an SBC image has already been imported.
Continue on the third page where you would find the "SBC" section on deployments where hosted OpenScape SBC is officially supported (please consult the Deployment Matrix). Only very basic aspects sufficient to reach the SBC Management Portal are supposed to be configured there, the complete configuration should be done in the SBC Management Portal itself. This is to minimize differences between standalone SBC.

The hosted OpenScape SBC is released for following deployments:
- Simplex with SoftGate on OS4K Branch
- Simplex with or without SoftGate on OS4K EcoServer
